Telopea Swimming Club wishes to express its deepest condolences
to everyone affected by the recent tragedy in the US and
to one family in particular,
every member of which was lost on American Airline Flight 77
when, in the hands of terrorists, it crashed into the Pentagon on 11 September 2001.
Leslie A. Whittington, her husband Charles S. Falkenberg
and their two daughters Zoe (aged 8) and Dana (aged 3)
were on their way to live here in Canberra, Australia
and to join our swimming club.
We were never given the opportunity to meet them
nor to share the many highs and lows that we as a club experience.

Please take a moment on Sunday 16 September,
