Apologies for not updating site over the last month. Webmaster busy moving house.
Congratulations to Emma Fitzgibbon who finished 2nd in the 5Km New Zealand Open Water Championship.
She was selected to compete for Swimming NSW at the Open Water 5 Km Championships held at Lake Rotoma, Rotorua on Sunday the 6th February, 2005. This was her first international meet. A fantastic effort!
Emma was selected for the team after winning the 5 Km NSW age open water championship and finishing 3rd in the 10 Km NSW open water championships held recently at Penrith Lakes.
Telopea's Head Coach, Les Barclay was selected as part of the coaching team. Well done Coach!!
ACT Top 10 [Amended February 2, 2005]
The ACT Top 10 long course ranking for swims since 1 October 2004 have been updated.
This page has been added to provide access to the ACT Swimming Top 10 rankings for short and long course seasons. The first Top 10 is the Winter 2004 short course rankings. Summer 2004-05 long course rankings have been added for swims from 1 October through to 31 December 2004. These will be updated as the season progresses.Any queries or comments relating to the Top 10 rankings should be directed to the Registrar of ACT Swimming, Lorraine Wuth, at lwuth@hups.net.

NSW 9-12 Years Age Championships - 8 and 9 January 2005
Congratulations to Tiffany Williams who won gold in the 12 & under 400m free and the
12 years 200m fly (also an ACT resident record) as well as a bronze in the 12 years 200m back.
A total of 9 swimmers swam 33 events, scoring 21 PBs (A PB rate of 64%).
NSW 13 Years and over Age Championships - 12 to 16 January 2005
Congratulations Team for placing 8th in the club point score.
A total of 6 Telopea swimmers scored 4 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals between them:
- Sophie Andriolo - gold in 16 Yrs 200m back; silver in 16 Yrs 100m back
- - Gold (1st NSW) in 19&O 100m breast and 19&O 200m breast
- Emma Fitzgibbon - silver in 17-18 Yrs 200m breast; bronze in 17-18 Yrs 100m breast
- Yoichi Kobayashi - bronze in 14 Yrs 200m fly
- Sarah Paton - gold in 17-18 Yrs 100m fly, 17-18 Yrs 200m IM, 17-18 Yrs 200m fly and Bronze (3rd NSW) in the 17-18 years 100m free.
- George Pulley - silver in 13 Yrs 100m breast and 13 Yrs 200m breast

Sarah Paton (Gold) in the 1500m freestyle
Tonight Sarah Paton won Gold and broke the Women's Open and 17 and
over ACT Residents
400m IM in a time of 4:51.94. The previous record had been set by
Michelle Pearson
back in 1986. Siobhan Paton won silver in the multi-disability
100m backstroke.
Sarah Paton with bronze in the 100m Fly; and bronze to Siobhan Paton
in the
multi-disability 100m breaststroke. Well done to both Sarah and
Siobhan.
